Flow Master stopped using the plastic nut in October of 2006. The claim ratio of non-toilet hoses assembled to insurance claims declined to .00005. Of that small number of claims vs. the hundreds of thousands of connectors made is a testament to the high quality of Flow Master's superior products. Subsequently, virtually all the non-toilet connector claims were denied because of improper installations. Most Core Flow Master products were IAPMO certified, and NSF certified depending on application. Many had dual certification. Flow Master's triple-crimp technology and the size of its barbs and sleeves are unique to the industry. Longer barbs and sleeves provide a larger crimping surface to prevent leaks.
